Who is Solal?
I am a somatic coach with ADHD, with a unique approach: learning to improvise in life, not just on stage. I mastered this skill out of survival and made a game out of it, in which the only rule is to always have fun in self-inquiry, self-improvement and serving others.
Be it in group or in one-on-one, I help you fully inhabit your body, connect with others, and express yourself without fear of judgment. I propose playful exercises that I amassed through my travels and training experiences, blending movement and voice, dynamic relaxation, mindfulness, visualization, emotional management and more…
Improvisation is not just about being quick-witted or funny; it's about trusting yourself, stepping into the moment, and letting go of the need for control. While standing in this funny (sometimes scary) situation of not knowing what’s next, we can make together a fragile and beautiful step towards a more confident and fulfilled self.
“You're under no obligation to be the same person you were 5 minutes ago.” ―Alan Watts
Through traveling and staying curious, I honed my capacity for human connection, putting it to use in my practice.
The most important part of my methodology is the calming of the mind, called “monkey mind” in Buddhism.
I have been developing my theater practice from a young age and got acquainted with different styles ranging from classical, naturalistic, contemporary, improvisation, clowning, dance and physical theater. Throughout my studies, I realized that what captivates me the most about any theater practice is the therapeutical advantage of somatic practice, especially when working as a group and collective. Having always felt that there was more to learn from the chaos of life than academia, I chose to travel the world, volunteering in several communities in Europe. I found joy and passion in sharing diversity of knowledge and experiences, with the open mind of a child. I met antagontheaterAKTion© on the way in 2022 and joined the group shortly after, to strengthen my belief in the extensive experiment with both theater and communal practice. As a teacher and coach I focus on paradigm shifts: I want to help the best I can with depression, anxiety, addictions, loss of meaning.
